Amazon is training its AI models on Twitch livestreams, and its users are not happy about it. Twitch, which Amazon owns, announced on Wednesday that users could opt out to prevent Amazon's AI models from training on their content.

Twitch says "nobody would opt in" if the option was turned off by default Twitch users can now stop Amazon from taking their content to train its generative artificial intelligence (AI) models, the popular streaming platform said.

Twitch recently confirmed it will use streamers' content to train its generative AI models. The Amazon-owned platform is automatically opting all users in to the feature. And in the most predictable turn of events possible: the move has not gone over well,

"If this was opt-in, nobody would opt in," Twitch CPO Mike Minton said on a livestream responding to user feedback. "That's honestly the answer."

OpenAI's Daybreak program now has two tiers, with the higher one giving partners access to a more advanced cybersecurity model.

Citing potentially alarming cybersecurity risks, the ChatGPT maker has paused the launch of Astra, its next-generation autonomous AI agent.

The unreleased model, called Astra, showed signs that it could carry out cyberattacks autonomously, says OpenAI.
